Who We Are

Headquartered in Pune, Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt. Ltd. (SAVWIPL) leads the Indian operations of six globally renowned brands – Škoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Porsche. With a strong legacy built on engineering excellence and customer trust, SAVWIPL continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the automotive landscape of the country. The organisation’s integrated approach combines global standards with deep local insight, enabling consistent delivery of quality, innovation, and performance.

Our journey in India began 25 years ago in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad), initially introducing global products to the market. Over time, we expanded our footprint by establishing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pune, leveraging India’s robust automotive ecosystem. This enabled us to increase localisation, strengthen domestic presence, and serve export markets. In 2025, we proudly crossed the milestone of 2 million locally produced vehicles, reaffirming our position as one of the leading European automotive groups in India.

Vision

A sustainable organization that provides industry leading mobility solutions keeping customers at the heart of everything we do.

Mission

We as one team are driven by inventiveness, continuously expanding our value chain to shape the mobility transformation, making a difference to stakeholders and society in India.

ENGINEERED IN INDIA: DRIVEN BY THE WORLD

This milestone reflects the collective effort of our workforce, partners, and dealer network who consistently uphold the highest standards of manufacturing and operational excellence.

Guided by our “Made in India for India and the World” strategy, SAVWIPL has transformed its operations into a global manufacturing hub. The INDIA 2.0 project followed by our first sub-4-metre SUV further strengthened our foundation, enhancing localisation and deepening our understanding of customer needs. Our locally manufactured models such as Škoda Kylaq, Kushaq, Slavia, Volkswagen Taigun, and Virtus together crossed the 500,000 production mark in 2025, a testament to their popularity in the Indian market. These achievements highlight our ability to combine global design and technology with local relevance, delivering vehicles that resonate strongly with diverse customer aspirations.

Customer accessibility remains at the heart of our growth. Over the years, we have expanded our network to nearly 700 touchpoints, ensuring our brands are closer to customers than ever before. This extensive presence enables seamless sales and service experiences, reinforcing long-term relationships built on transparency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

ELECTRO MOBILITY

Looking ahead, we aspire to increase market share with a balanced approach across ICE and BEV models. With evolving customer preferences, SAVWIPL is committed to offering sustainable mobility solutions across segments and price points, driving innovation while staying true to our vision of shaping the future of mobility in India and beyond. By continuously investing in technology, talent, and responsible business practices, we remain focused on delivering value to customers, communities, and stakeholders alike while contributing meaningfully to the progress of the Indian automotive industry.

LEADERSHIP

Group Essentials

What Makes Us Different

We want the Volkswagen Group (and ŠKODA AUTO VOLKSWAGEN INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, a part whereof) to be a company with integrity through and through and to be respected in the best sense of the word. To meet this requirement, we have created the Group-wide integrity and compliance program Together4Integrity (T4I for short). It bundles all the activities for integrity, compliance, culture, risk management, and HR and thus creates the basis for our success. T4I is our common path towards a corporate culture that enables every manager and every employee to act with integrity and in accordance with the rules at all times and everywhere.

We have summarized our promises to our customers, shareholders, business partners and ourselves in seven key principles. They describe what the Group stands for in all its brands, companies and countries:
