Piyush Arora

Managing Director & CEO

Piyush Arora, an industry veteran with over 30 years of automotive experience, is the Managing Director and CEO of Škoda Auto Volkswagen India.

Responsible for the Indian region of Volkswagen Group’s five passenger vehicle brands - Volkswagen, Škoda, Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini, Piyush plays an instrumental role in implementing the Group’s global growth strategy in the region.

Piyush began his career with Tata Motors in 1989 as GET. He later moved on to various manufacturing related functions for next 6 years.

He joined Mercedes-Benz India in 1995, where he held several senior positions including the Supervisory Board positions at Mercedes-Benz Indonesia and Mercedes-Benz Vietnam, while overseeing their operations.

Most recently, he oversaw the Operations business for Mercedes-Benz India as its Executive Director and Head of Operations.

A Mechanical Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, Piyush holds an International Business Diploma from Symbiosis International University in Pune.

Christian Cahn von Seelen

Member of the Board - Sales, Marketing and Digital

Christian Cahn von Seelen is responsible for steering the Sales & Marketing for the Group’s brands - Škoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini and Group After Sales in India.

An automotive industry veteran, with over 30 years of experience, Christian Cahn von Seelen has been with Škoda Auto a.s since 2011. As Head of Management of Global Regions, he was responsible for management of strategically important regions of Škoda Auto including India, China, North Africa and Russia.

He has completed his Diploma in Physics Study from the University of Stuttgart.

Nalin Jain

Member of the Board - Finance and IT 

Nalin Jain is responsible for the financial steering of the future growth path of the Volkswagen Group in India.

He has a work experience of about 27 years and has extensive knowledge and understanding of the Indian automobile industry.

After completing his Masters from SUNY Buffalo, Nalin began his career in consulting, and then moved to the automotive industry working with Indian auto major Mahindra and Mahindra and FIAT. In 2010 after completing his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, he worked for the VW Group in India, and Volvo Auto India and went ahead to become the Managing Director (Member of Board) of Volvo Cars Malaysia.

Mojmir Hajek 

Member of the Board - Production and Logistics

Mojmir Hajek is responsible for Pune and Aurangabad Plant operations.

An intrinsic part of Volkswagen Group for more than 25 years, Mojmir Hajek has had a vast experience in various functions in Production and Logistics, Planning, Project and Launch Management and with that he was instrumental in realization of multiple Strategic Group Projects worldwide.

He studied Automotive engineering at Czech Technical University in Prague and later Aeronautics Engineering at Brno University of Technology.

Sachin Kulkarni

Member of the Board - Corporate Procurement

Sachin Kulkarni is Heading Procurement for the VW Group in India.

With a rich experience of 26 years in the field of Procurement, Sachin has been an integral part of the VW Group for close to 14 years in various functions. He was instrumental in achieving 95% Localization for Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited, INDIA 2.0 project with a stiff target in material costs. He comes with a rich global work experience in Bentley motors, United Kingdom and Toyota, Japan.

Sachin has completed Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Karnataka University.

Sarma Chillara

Member of the Board - Human Resources

Sarma Chillara is responsible for People Strategy, Industrial Relations & Administration.
 
He brings over 16 years of experience working across various roles within the HR domain. He joined the VW Group in 2012 and has been associated with the Group for 11 years in various leadership capacities. He was featured in Business world 40 under 40 2021 and Economic Times - Emerging Leaders League 2022.
 
Prior to joining the Volkswagen Group, his last assignment was with BCG. (Boston Consulting Group). Sarma has a Master’s Degree in General Management & Human Resources.
